Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

At the TOBB Turkey Natural Gas Council meeting, the natural gas demand and the Natural Gas Market Law #4646 were discussed.​

The TOBB Turkey Furniture Products Council discussed the primary problems of the sector, the activity and longevity of which is increasing in national and international competition. In addition macro problems such as off the record economy and unfair competition, VAT and insurance premiums directed at the sector resulting in the agreement that institutions and organizations should be contacted in order to bring resolution to these issues.​

Rates of waste in agriculture were assessed during the meeting presided over by TOBB Board Member Ebubekir Bal.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Tax Advisory Council assessed the 10th Development Plan 2014 Program during the meeting it held for this purpose. Attending the meeting were TOBB Board Member Salih Zeki Murzioğlu and TOBB Tax Advisory Council Chairman Fatih Dural.​

“The Bill for the Regulation of Retail Commerce” was assessed during a workshop at TOBB ETU. Giving the opening speech of the workshop, TOBB Board Vice President Çetin Osman Budak stated that the private sector is the driving force behind Turkey’s growth while Customs and Commerce Deputy Minister Fatih Metin emphasized the importance of the regulation of the sector.​

The arbitration system put in place in order to lighten the burden of the legislative system by bringing solutions to disputes was assessed at TOBB. TOBB Board Vice President Halim Mete said, “The arbitration system will make it possible to save time, money and esteem in business life. The time lost in legislative processes and the financial resources will be reclaimed by us.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Commodity Exchanges Council Meeting was hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and attended by the Food, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Deputy Minister Kutbettin Arzu, high level Ministry bureaucrats and council members on the 19th of December, 2013 at the TOBB Twin Towers.​

The number of the newly established companies, cooperatives and sole proprietorships increased by 33,72%, 17,54% and 27,32% respectively according to the previous month.​

The number of the newly established companies, cooperatives and sole proprietorships decreased by 12,84%, 21,92% and 9,33% respectively according to the previous month.​

The International Tacograph Congress organized by the Science, Industry and Commerce Ministry on the 2nd and 3rd of October, 2013, in Antalya was attended by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey which handles the numerical tacograph procedures in Turkey.​
