Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Inaugurated this year, the TUYAP “Erzurum Food and Local Flavors, Food, Beverage Products, Local Products, Food Processing Bakery Technologies, Storage, Refrigeration, Transport and Shop Market Equipment Fair” started with the opening ceremony attended by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Board of Directors Member Hakan Ülken at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Fair Center in Erzurum.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board of Directors Vice President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu attended the ABİS Advisory, Guidance and Coordination Board (DAYEK) meeting. DAYEK was established following the implementation of Turkey's communication strategy for the European Union (ABİS). ​

TOBB Turkey Textile Industry Council convened under TOBB Board Members Zeki Kıvanc and Suat Selim Kandemir and Council President Abdulkadir Konukoğlu with the attendances of senior NGO and sector representatives in Istanbul to discuss the latest developments in the sector.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz and the Turkish business people accompanying him, in regards to the palm dates industry, met with the Palestinian delegation including the Governor of Jericho Jehad A.M. Yussef and Palestinian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture President Taysir Hamid. ​

As a party of the October 14th World Standards Day events, the “Directing Standards” program was held with the attendances of Industry and Technology Deputy Minister Hasan Büyükdeniz, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Ali Kopuz and the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) President Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin. In the program, “Active Participation in Standardization Activities Award Ceremony” took place. ​

The first two sessions of BiTıklaAvrupa training program organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Amazon.com.tr and Boğaziçi University which aims to bring together vendors in Turkey for e-exports was held in Istanbul. Opening speeches were given by TOBB Industry and Entrepreneurship Department Chief Ozan Acar and Amazon Turkey General Manager Atilla Yerlikaya. Hosted by TOBB, SMEs were informed face-to-face on how to utilize tools and resources succeed in sales in the European Amazon market.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Ali Kopuz participated in the International Standardization Summit. In his speech here, Kopuz stated that civilizations have risen and life and societies have prospered socially and culturally in places where there is trade, and described what happened in the standard change.​

TOBB Turkey Automotive Industry Council meeting was held in Ankara under the TOBB Board Member Cengiz Erol and Council President Davut Çetin with the participation of council members.​

Turkey Forest Products Council Meeting convened under TOBB Forest Products Council Vice President Sabri Avcı with the participation of TOBB Board Member Oğuzhan Ata Sadıkoğlu Turkey, at the TOBB Istanbul Service Building.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) Vice President Tamer Kıran stated that the private sector must transition from debt financing to capital financing, “For that, we first need the introduction of partnership culture.”​
