Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

TOBB President and EUROCHAMBRES Deputy Chair M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the EUROCHAMBRES Presidential Council Meeting hosted by the Italian Chambers Union, Unioncamere in Rome.​

Capital Organized Industry Zone (OIZ) Board of Directors Chair Şadi Türk and the board members accompanying him visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We must focus on opportunity, not risk. Pessimism brings about negative energy causing everyone to have a negative outlook. Pessimism is contagious; let’s not let it become an epidemic. Turkey grew by 4% in 2015 and 3.4% following the 2008-2015 period. I believe that we will achieve an average rate closer to 5% this year.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the 2016 Action Plan Meeting held at the Haliç Congress Center.​

Meeting with ambassadors of the Arab League for a business lunch, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that the Arab League has an economic power of 2.8 trillion USD and stressed the need for increasing trade.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu issued a press release regarding the 171st anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Police Department. Stating that, as the protectors of life and property, guarantors of peace, the police department is always greatly admired by the public, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Our police are the safeguard of our domestic peace. Police personnel who risk their lives without a second though for the security and future of our nation are truly individuals of self-sacrificing character. We will always owe them our gratitude and great love.”​

In his message regarding the beginning of the Three Holy Months, the Holy Night of Conception, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his wish that this beautiful and meaningful day would be an occasion for stronger feelings of love and fraternity in the Muslim world and between all people.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı at the business lunch held at TOBB.​

During the meeting hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and attended by Food, Agriculture and Livestock Farming Minister Faruk Çelik, licensed warehousing and product specialized exchanges as well as modern agriculture market issues were discussed.​

The business luncheon held by TOBB and the US Chamber of Commerce with the attendances of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Economy Minister Mustafa Elitaş in Washington DC.​
