Prior to the meeting, a delegation from the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council paid a visit to Tatvan District Governor Yiğit Yaşar Demirer at his office. During the meeting between District Governor Demirer and the delegation, they exchanged views on Tatvan’s investment and entrepreneurship potential, support for women entrepreneurs, and potential joint projects in this field.

Later in the program, the delegation visited Bilal Adabağ, President of the Tatvan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at his office. Adabağ stated that the Tatvan Chamber of Commerce and Industry attaches great importance to the efforts being made to increase the presence of women entrepreneurs in the business world and that they are ready to provide every kind of support in this regard.

Following the official visits, the TOBB KGK Eastern Anatolia Regional Meeting was held. The meeting was attended by TOBB KGK Executive Board Members Filiz Akkaş Demir and Zuhal Akyüzlü; TOBB Hakkâri KGK Chair and Eastern Anatolia Regional Representative Sevda Keskin; TOBB Ağrı KGK Chair Edibe Yıldırım Demircan, TOBB Bingöl KGK Chair Feyza Başak Koç, TOBB Erzurum KGK Chair Meryem Kübra Alioğulları, and TOBB Van KGK Chair Semra Odabaşı.

During the meeting, initiatives promoting women’s entrepreneurship in the region’s provinces were discussed. While the provincial chairpersons shared information about activities and projects in their respective provinces, they also evaluated areas for collaboration aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and exchanged ideas.

Following the meeting, a panel titled “Regional Transformation Through Women’s Leadership” was held at the Tatvan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Hall. Opening remarks were delivered by Bermal Akbay, Chair of the TOBB Bitlis Women’s Entrepreneurship Council; Sevda Keskin, Chair of the TOBB Hakkari Women’s Entrepreneurship Council and Eastern Anatolia Regional Representative; Mehmet Emin Çakay, Secretary General of the Eastern Anatolia Development Agency (DAKA); Bilal Adabağ, President of the Tatvan Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Nurten Öztürk, Chair of the TOBB Women’s Entrepreneurship Council.

The panel featured Filiz Akkaş Demir, a member of the TOBB KGK Executive Board; Zuhal Akyüzlü, a member of the TOBB KGK Executive Board; and Nurcan Bulut, an Assistant Professor at Bitlis Eren University, as panelists. The panelists shared their knowledge and experiences regarding women’s entrepreneurship, leadership, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem with the participants.

The second part of the panel program featured inspiring success stories of women entrepreneurs in Bitlis. The program concluded following the presentation of plaques.
