The Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Traditional Award Ceremony was held with the participation of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Minister of Development Lütfi Elvan.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his speech that he is proud of today's Antalya business community, “I am very happy to be among you on such a day. Today we came to Antalya for 3 propitious works. We opened Turkey's only and largest local products fair YÖREX, brought to fruition with the contributions of the Antalya Commerce. YÖREX has now become an institution. It is an exhibition where local products will be promoted. Now, we will reward our successful entrepreneurial brothers. We will also conduct the opening of the Antalya TOBB Science High School.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity, “With its public and private sector; ruling and opposition parties, all Antalya is here, together. When it comes to Antalya, the love of Antalya brings all together. Grace and prosperity in unity; anguish in dissent – that is where the blessing of Antalya comes from.”

Explaining that Antalya is very important for Turkey and economy, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "If Antalya grows, Turkey grows. If Antalya is troubled, so is Turkey. For this reason, Antalya has a unique place and we have to show special care here. For this reason, I always come to Antalya every year. I listen to its pulse, listen to your troubles, your comments. We produce solutions together with the Chamber and the Commodity Exchange Presidents, and we relay solution proposals to the government.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he is proud of the chamber-exchange in Antalya and reported that they are all accredited chamber-commodity exchanges, offered services to their members on par with those to be found in Europe.

Following the speeches, the Antalya TOBB Science High School, built by TOBB, was opened.
