Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

In cooperation with Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) a visiting programme to Qatar shall be carried out on 15^th – 17^th January 2018. Making a statement regarding the visit TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said “Qatar, by the help of its underground sources, wishes to attain a fast development process. They aim for creating an outward oriented economy which is integrated with the world as well as reducing public sector’s dominant part within the economy by establishing a powerful and active private sector.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that up to today the volume of the projects undertaken in Qatar by Turkish constructing companies has reached to 11.6 billion dollars. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that on the front burner projects for infrastructure and upper structure which are planning to be carried out within the scope of especially 2022 World Cup and 2030 Qatar National Vision, offer Turkish firms new opportunities. Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke followings: “Having significant investment in our country Qatar capital has an increasing interest in Turkey. Yet another Qatar visit and intra-enterprise meetings that we made in cooperation with TOBB and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry between the dates 17^th – 18^th January 2017 were great success. During the same visit as a result of the agreement that we signed between our Union and Qatar TSO and the works that we carried out with our companies in 2017, we have decided to organise a well-attended delegation to Qatar between the dates of 15^th – 17^th January 2018.”

-What does the programme offer?

Within the program, Turkish-Qatar Business Forum shall be held. Business meetings shall be carried out between Turkish and Qatar firms from various sectors such as primarily infrastructure, electrical devices, industrial plastic products, food and agriculture, logistic, construction, information technologies (security systems), machinery and equipment, glass and glassware, agricultural machinery, baby – adult diapers, energy services,  pharmaceutical products and medical devices, also some facilities in Qatar shall be visited.
