It is presenting much deserved awards to those who add value to Eskişehir’s economy, industry, and its people. I congratulate them wholeheartedly.”

Stating that they are going through a troubled period, the TOBB President said, “Despite all this, you not only survive in business life but you also thrive to merit an an award. This is not everyone's mettle; I am proud of all of my entrepreneurial friends here. May Allah bless you for the value of your work, effort, and the value you add to Eskişehir and our country.”

The nation took to the streets against the putsch on July 15th. 80 million people were on the street that night, but none of our so-called friends were there.”

Eskişehir Governor Özdemir Çakacak also pointed out that Eskişehir has been the gateway of Anatolia to the west throughout its history, and that this feature of the city also contributed to the development of its industry.

Head of ESO Celalettin Kesikbas pointed out that the 50th anniversary is a time of putting the past behind, “A night far from individual interests and power struggles. A night of unity and solidarity of Eskişehir. The night of the common ideas and goals. In this sense, as a generation who continued the national fight following the proclamation of the Republic through industry, we are a patriotic people who love our country and our city. Taking our country and city into the future, bringing it to the level of contemporary civilizations is our biggest goal. There is no doubt that the power that we need runs in the noble blood of our veins. I would like to express my respects and gratitude to our esteemed industrialists who work day and night to produce and develop his country and the founder of our republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.”
