Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and TBB President Hüseyin Aydın made statements to the press before the meeting.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they’ve convened in 10 provinces as a part of the joint dialogue meetings in Anatolia and they are holding the 11^th meeting in Samsun.

Attending the meeting were, Chamber, exchanges and business world with representatives as well as general and assistant managers of 9 banks. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This is, in fact, a first. For the first time Turkey Banks Union and the Turkish private sector have come together during this troubled period in our history, in order to learn about the troubles of Anatolia. We know that we are all on the same ship, and we are no different from each other. Our problems are their problems; their problems are our problems.”

Stating that they believe the troubled period is temporary Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The way ahead is open; when we look at the last 25 years, many such problems have come and gone and we came out stronger.

TBB President Hüseyin Aydın stressed that they will talk about their troubles, problems. Aydın said, “the Turkish banking system is maximizing its efforts regarding growth and development of the Turkish real sector and Turkey. We will show this in the Black Sea region as well.”

After the speeches, the meeting continued closed to the press.
