In a statement to the press before the meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We, the Turkish private sector, declare that Turkey will overcome this bump; we will continue on our path even faster. Turkey's foundations strong; we are dedicated to Turkey.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that the "Real Sector and Financial Sector Dialogue Strengthening Meeting” in Malatya organized by TOBB and the Turkey Banks Union (TBB) is hosted the by Malatya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Fırat Development Agency and Malatya Commodity Exchange.

Reporting that they have come together in Malatya with the participation of the general managers of Turkey's two biggest state banks, meeting with the real sector, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We would like to express our gratitude to Turkey Banks Union President and Republic of Turkey Ziraat Bank General Manager Hüseyin Aydın and Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan for this opportunity.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they will listen to the problems, troubles and suggestions of the sector at the meeting and added:

“Together with our two public banks, we will come together as the real sector. We will talk with our members about our troubles and our problems. In addition to Malatya, business people from Erzincan, Tunceli, Elazığ, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Muş and Bingöl are also here. For 25 years, we have overcome a myriad of similar troubles. We, the Turkish private sector, declare that Turkey will overcome this bump; we will continue on our path even faster. Turkey's foundations strong; we are dedicated to Turkey.”

TBB President and of Ziraat Bank General Manager Hüseyin Aydın stated that they have been touring throughout Turkey with TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.

Pointing that there is a special privilege for the meeting Malatya, Aydın said, “May this meeting prove beneficial. As representatives of two of Turkey’s important banks, we will stand by our manufacturers, producers and exporters. We will also hold one on one talks.”

Following the addresses, the meeting continued on closed to the press with the attendances of Malatya Governor Aydın Baruş, AK Party Malatya MP Bülent Tüfenkci, Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Hacı Uğur Polat, Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan and chamber and exchange presidents, representatives of non-governmental organizations and business people.
