Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Africa Investment Forum

Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Africa Investment Forum, the Islamic Chamber of Industry and Trade and the Turkish-Africa Joint Chamber meetings held in Egypt.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they have been representing the Union of European Chambers in Egypt for two days, attended the African Investment Forum in Cairo, Egypt, gave a speech there and met with investors in the Forum.

Stating that he spoke at the Forum as the Union of European Chambers Deputy President, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they are providing the viewpoint of Turkish and European chambers towards Africa.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they’ve met with the Turkish businesspeople investing in Egypt at the Turkish Embassy in Cairo, finding opportunity to learn of their troubles and difficulties in conducting business in Egypt.

- Islamic Arbitration Center established in Istanbul

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that as a result of the Islamic Chamber of Trade and Industry meetings, it was decided that the Islamic Arbitration Center would be established in Turkey which would operate centered in İstanbul as per the request of the Republic of Turkey.”

Talking about the Turkey-Africa Joint Chamber founded approximately 10 years ago, Hisarcıklıoğlu went on: “Ten years ago, the Turkish-Africa Joint Chamber was founded but failed to become active. After 10 years, we are conducting its first activity. Turkey - Africa Joint Chamber is now starting to work. The roadmap ahead is set. African countries’ chamber presidents expressed their pleasure in the investments of Turkey and Turkey’s interest in Africa, extending their gratitude.”

Stating that they’ve also held the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry General Assembly and Board Meetings, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are acting as vice president as Turkey. We discussed how can we improve economic relations with 57 Islamic countries and the relations between them in the Islamic world.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they discussed the issue of the Turkish - Arab Chamber established two years ago, and that they discussed what can be done to increase the commercial and economic relations between the Turkish and Arab countries.
