Mete: "Custom procedures are the must for international trade"

TOBB Vice President Halim Mete, during the speech he made at conference for “Facilitation of Custom Procedures” organised by in cooperation with International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Turkey National Committee and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) stating that ICC being the largest business establishment working for increasing trade volume and investments, also said that ICC, in time bringing private sector representatives from different countries under the same roof, become a reference authority for world trade enhancement and eliminating obstacles to trading. ​

Pointing out that operating under the roof of TOBB in Turkey ICC Turkey National Committee has been assuming the ICC representation in Turkey since 1934, Mete gave the following information:

 

"ICC's network includes more than 6 million of enterprise, chambers of commerce and employee associations in more than 100 countries. National Committees in those countries direct ICC policy and activities. As a powerful and established National Committee, Turkey National Committee also has been continues its activities for years. The key mission of ICC is to establish globally accepted business rules which eliminates various practices between countries.”

 

Technical commission within ICC structure carry out activities in many fields. Relevant commissions aimed to establish business rules and practices in international trade. Our committee, in order to contribute to international works of Turkish business world, successfully continues its activities within ICC commissions."
