Turkey e-Commerce Council evaluated the Covid-19 pandemic process

22.05.2020 /

TOBB Turkey e-Commerce Council convened via video conference with the participation of TOBB Vice Chairman Selçuk Öztürk.

Selçuk Öztürk noted that during the consultation meeting held with the participation of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Treasury and Finance Minister Bert Albayrak on May 20, 2020 with the participation of 365 chamber of stock exchange presidents and industry council presidents, the problems of the sector were relayed.

Councillors conveyed developments in the Covid-19 process. Consultations were held on the capabilities of the logistics sector. If the short work allowance for R&D personnel is taken advantage of, it was declared that it was useful to make arrangements to prevent the cancellation of R&D Center licenses, as a minimum requirement of 15 men/full-time conditions could not be provided. It was requested that special dispensation period is extended until May 27th.

It was decided that the next meeting should be organized after the festival and that companies should share their experiences with the normalization-return process to the office. In addition, it was assessed that domestic cargo transportation companies would benefit from bringing up the dynamics of the e-commerce and logistics sector by inviting them to this meeting.
