Saying “Encourage your daughters to become entrepreneurs for our future”, President of TOBB emphasized that it was the only way to prevent unemployment and to become richer.
-What do chambers do?
Reminding that they were asked questions about the function of TOBB and chambers, Hisarcıklıoğlu said the following: “If the chambers had not intervened and the Turkish Commercial Code had been passed with its former version, the Turkish private sector would have faced a burden of TL 6 billion annually.” Telling that they had spend 30 hours with the relevant Ministers and had the law corrected with the support of all political parties, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that 18 imprisonment penalties were also cancelled.
Stating that post-dated cheque was completely a Turkish invention, which had no other example in the world, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they could now view the counter party’s information in the same way as the banks see theirs when offering a loan. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We were shooting without aiming. If banks are protected, then we must be protected, too. I mean, we will not any longer aim and shoot at the darkness.”
-Retail Law
Talking about the need for a law that regulates the retail sector, Hisarcıklıoğlu said the sector required a regulation. Hisarcıklıoğlu underscored the fact that the food sector chains would now have to make the payments of the products they purchased from small and medium sized suppliers in 60 days owing to an article incorporated into the Turkish Commercial Code.
-Need for a new constitution
Pointing out that the system was now blocked and needed to be reconstructed, President of TOBB said that a new constitution was needed. Stating that the Parliament was using its best efforts in law making, but the system did not any longer accept any patches, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The time towards the 2023 target is running out.
