The meeting, attended by Selçuk Deligöz, Deputy Director General of Customs and Border Protection at the Ministry of Trade, as well as officials from the Ministry of Trade’s General Directorate of Customs and the Ministry of Industry and Technology’s General Directorate of Industry, saw Council members discuss the sector’s main issues, such as loss, smuggling, and origin misrepresentation.

During the meeting, officials from the General Directorate of Customs delivered a presentation on the protection of intellectual and industrial property rights at customs, and members conveyed the difficulties they were facing to the authorities.
