In a statement regarding economic and geopolitical developments, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), emphasized that the foundations of the Turkish economy are strong and warned the business world not to pay attention to speculative news that could undermine the healthy functioning of the markets.

Hisarcıklıoğlu made the following statement on his social media account:

“The foundations of the Turkish economy are strong. The Turkish private sector is resilient to global and regional fluctuations.

Our economy has the institutional capacity and production infrastructure to maintain its resilience against external shocks that may arise from global and geopolitical developments.

We see that the economic administration is taking the necessary steps with determination and will continue to do so in line with its goals of price stability, financial stability, and sustainable growth.

Speculative news that could undermine the healthy functioning of the markets should not be taken seriously.

Our message to the business community is clear: we must act with shared responsibility, trusting in Türkiye’s production power, export capacity, and entrepreneurial dynamism.”
