Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the World Chambers Federation (WCF) and President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), posted the following on his social media account regarding the meeting: 

“We held the High-Level Roundtable Meeting of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the European Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Eurochambres) at the TOBB Brussels office with the participation of our Minister of Trade, Mr. Ömer Bolat.” 

Leaders of business organizations and businesspeople from many countries gathered at a meeting centered on the theme of revitalizing the multilateral trading system and shared their views.

As the World Chambers Federation, of which I am the President, and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), we expressed our support for a fair, inclusive, and predictable global trade system, as only a system based on rules and fair competition can develop global trade and bring prosperity to nations.

In this context, we emphasized that the World Trade Organization’s role is of great importance and that we expect it to help reduce imbalances in global competition.
