Automotive industry councils discuss adaptation to Green Transformation

“How to keep up with the Green Transformation” webinar was held in regards to the automotive sectors with the participation of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Automotive Industry Council, TOBB Automotive Supply Industry Council and TOBB Automotive Trade Council Members and Members of Chamber-Exchanges.​

Participants were informed under the headings “Is Your Company Ready for 2030?”, “Do You Know Your Carbon Footprint?,” “What is Your Company's Climate Scorecard?”, “What Is Fit For 55?”, “What Does Carbon Regulation At the Border Bring?”, “What Are The Threats-Opportunities for Turkish Exporters?” and “What Should Companies Do?”.

On behalf of TOBB Automotive Industry Council, Council President Cengiz Eroldu; on behalf of TOBB Automotive Supply Industry Council, Council President Alper Kanca and on behalf of TOBB Automotive Trade Council, Council Vice President Dr. Hayri Erce made assessments about the automotive sector.

Horizon Consulting Co-Founder Eser Erginoglu informed the participants about the responsibilities of the companies and the cost to the companies with his presentation titled “What does carbon regulation bring at the border”. In addition, he mentioned the obligations of the companies exporting to the EU and the obligations of the importer company in the EU and emphasized the importance of the company's climate report card. He shared with the participants the roadmap to be followed in the EU Green Agreement Harmonization Process.

Mehmet Ergün, Director of Environmental Supervision and Verification at the Turkish Institute of Standards (TSE), informed the participants about the European Green Agreement Action Plan and the Work carried out by TSE.
