Hisarcıklıoğlu visited İpsala Customs Gate with TOBB Vice President Ali Kopuz, TOBB Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz and TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay.

Hisarcıklıoğlu told reporters after his inspections at İpsala Customs Gate, “We received information about the latest status of İpsala Customs Gate, which is 98% finished. This is a great source of pride for Turkey. Here, İpsala will contribute greatly to Keşan and Edirne economy. With the end of the Canakkale Bridge, this customs gate will become especially significant. For us, the exit to Europe is very important at every point. 60 percent of our exports and nearly 50 percent of our imports come from Europe. In this sense, physical infrastructure is very important to us. Before, our side of the border was falling apart, and the other side was in a modern state. Now we have become the west of the west with both this place, Kapıkule and Hamzabeyli border crossings. It's all about providing the physical conditions for a quick transition. In particular, I would like to thank our Governor, İpsala Governor, İpsala Mayor. Hopefully soon, whenever our minister says, we want to open both this gate and Hamzabeyli.”
