EU and Turkey: Together to Empower Women
Ankara EU Information Center will celebrate International Women Day in collaboration with Keçiören Municipality and Bilkent University European Documentation Center. Panel, titled “Being Woman in Capital Letters” will be followed by the classical music concert by Feminİstanbul. Gender equality and violence against women and the ways to prevent it will be among the main discussion topics. |

Students discussed freedom of religion, faith and conscience at Youth Forum, in the Halki Seminary
120 students from 20 cities of Turkey, academics, thinkers and journalists participated in the EU Youth Forum on "My Rights, My Identity: Freedom of Religion, Faith and Conscience" held on 23-25 November, 2014 in Istanbul. Mr Bela Szombati, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the EU Delegation and His Eminence Professor Elpidophoros Lambiriniadis, Metropolitan of Bursa, Abbot of the Halki Holy Trinity Patriarchal and Stavropeghial Monastery welcomed the participants in the morning of 24 November in Istanbul's Feriye Restaurant. The final youth forum debate took place in the historic Halki Seminary on 25 November.

EUROPEAN WOMEN’S FORUM, HELD IN TRABZON
A group of 110 women from 18 different cities of Turkey, including academics, and journalists participated in the European Women's Forum 2014 held in Trabzon on 12-14 November. The Deputy Head of the Political Affairs, Press and Information Section, Ms Andreea Schmidt, represented the EU Delegation to Turkey. |
