125 university students from 23 cities in Turkey, academics and journalists participated in the 8th European Youth Forum in Cappadocia on 27-29 May. Students participated in training sessions on topics such as fundamental rights and local and national identity in the European Union and Turkey and debated these issues in workshops. Forum moderated by Kaan Yakuphan had students, writers, journalists, artists and representatives from different religious and ethnic groups look at the theme of “My Rights and My Identity” and deliberated on the results of a questionnaire to be filled in through electronic voting. Speakers included journalist Coşkun Aral, writer Pakrat Estukyan and academic Nil Mutluer.​

9 May Europe Day was celebrated in 20 provinces where EU Information Centers are found. In Ankara, events hosted by EU Delegation, took place in Seğmenler and Kuğulu Park with distinguished participation of EU Embassies and EU Ministry. As Ankara EUIC, children and their families were addressed via stories of worldwide famous storyteller Judith M. LIBERMAN and her musician Tahir AYNE. In addition, participants were asked to express their vision of freedom and peace via workshop of yoga and mandala trainer Didem BİLGE. ​

9th of May, Europe Day will be celebrated through a series of events across Turkey. Performances by well-known artists from EU countries, concerts, photography exhibitions, panel discussions and film screenings will be available to all, free of charge. As Ankara EU Information Center, we will celebrate Europe Day on 9th May 2015, at 11:00 Saturday in Seymenler Park with the Story Telling of Judith M.Liberman and the music of Tahir Ayne. The day will last with physical, mental and artistic Works. ​

The Day was celebrated in 20 cities where 21 EU Information Centers take place. In the event, organized in collaboration between Ankara EUIC and Başkent Organized Industry Zone, Turkey and EU approaches were discussed. Besides, it has been underlined that OHAS needs to be perceived as a culture. Mr. Francois Begeot, Counsellor, Head of Section, Financial Co-Operation, Infrastructural, Social & Regional Projects, declared in his opening speeches that this is not only a choice of the EU Delegation in Turkey, but is a collective decision of the European Union Information Centres located at 20 cities all over Turkey, which are kindly hosted by the chambers of commerce and/or industry, as well as several universities. This is a clear demonstration of the high commitment to create a safer working life on the side of our partners from the private sector.​

OHAS Seminar, adressing employers and OHAS experts, will be organized in cooperation between Ankara EU Information Center and Başkent Organized Industry Zone on April 29th. The seminar targets to raise awareness on the issue and share EU perspective. Please see the details in the attached program. ​

126 employees and employers from across Turkey, academics, and journalists participated in the EU Occupational Health and Safety Forum held in İstanbul on 20-22 April. The event was attended by Ms Rana Güven, Occupational Health and Safety Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and Counsellor Ireneusz Fidos, Head of the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Turkey. ​

Ankara, April 15, 2015 – The closing ceremony of the two-year "Increasing Resilience of Syrian Children under Temporary Protection in Turkey" Project was held in Ankara today. The project was implemented in partnership between UNICEF, AFAD, the Ministry of National Education and the Turkish Red Crescent with the generous financial support of the European Union. ​

The Event, organized by Ankara EU Information Center, TOBB and METU European Documentation Centers, Foundation of Turkish Librarians and National Library of Turkey; was realized on April 2nd, 2015 in Libraries Week. Intercultural dialogue and social media were discussed in various perspectives. Writer Mario LEVİ gave his speech on Interculturality and Its Reflections; derived from his life and novels. Assist. Prof. Burak Bilgehan ÖZPEK, TOBB ETÜ, Department of International Relations, reflected his views on The Role of Social Media in Adopting Democracy Culture. Finally speech was from Devrim EVİN, actor, on Social Media and its Effects on Multicultural Identities. The panel was moderated by Assist. Prof. Özgehan ŞENYUVA from METU Department of International Relations.​

100 women and men from 20 different cities of Turkey, academics, and journalists participated in the EU Women's Forum 2015 held in Gaziantep on 18-20 March. The EU's Deputy Head of Political Section, Ms Andreea Schmidt, represented the EU Delegation to Turkey at the event. ​

As a collaborative effort between the Ankara EU Information Center, the Keçiören Municipal Authority and the Bilkent University European Documentation Center, the event, “Being WOMAN in Capitals Letters” took place in Ankara on Friday, March 06, 2015.​
