Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The sixteenth of the roadshow, which covers face-to-face trainings in the designated provinces after the online trainings in the Heroines of Entrepreneurship Project, which was implemented with the support of Arçelik Retail Academy in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Women Entrepreneurs Council and Beko, was held in Düzce Teknopark.​

Chaired by Nurten Öztürk, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Women Entrepreneurs Council President, with the participation of TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council Executive Committee Members, TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council Members and provincial council members, TOBB Düzce and TOBB Muş Women Entrepreneur Councils, the 26th Value Adding Women Entrepreneurs Meeting.​

TOBB conducted an implementation training with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and IRU between 13-15 December 2021 in order to see the operation and implementation of the TIR system, of which Turkey is the largest practitioner in the international arena, for the delegation headed by the Iraqi Ministry of Transport.​

A working dinner was hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) with the participation of Roy Perrin, Undersecretary of Economy at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Heather Byrnes, Undersecretary of Commerce, Adam Schick in Charge of Economic Affairs and Fred Aziz, Trade Counsellor.​

TOBB Digital Transformation Committee convened with the participation of TOBB Vice President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, TOBB Board Members Davut Çetin and Mehmet Büyüksimitci and Chamber Presidents who are members of the Committee. At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the current situation regarding digitalization and the work to be done.​

In cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Women Entrepreneurs Council and Beko, the fifteenth roadshow covering face-to-face trainings in the designated provinces after online trainings in the Heroines of Entrepreneurship Project, which was implemented with the support of Arçelik Retail Academy was hosted by the Çanakkale Chamber of Industry.​

A meeting of the European Green Deal Workgroup was held with the participation of the relevant Deputy Ministers in coordination with the Ministry of Commerce. TOBB Vice President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, representing the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Deputy Minister of Commerce Mustafa Tuzcu.​

TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council 7th Region (Central Anatolia) Meeting was held in Eskişehir, hosted by Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce.​

Cengiz Günay, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), attended the end-of-year event organized by the Albanian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tirana with the participation of Albanian Deputy Finance and Economy Minister Besart Kadia and TR Ambassador to Tirana Murat Ahmet Yörük.​

During the first 11 months period of the year 2021 the number of newly established companies increased by 7.6% while the number cooperatives and the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 6,8% and 12,3%.​
