Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The 33rd Conference of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) took place in Dhaka, Bangladesh on November 26th and 27th.​

The Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Salih Zeki Murzioğlu participated in the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women at the Presidential Congress and Culture Center with the participation of Emine Erdoğan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. ​

The first General Assembly of the Coordination Committee on Trade Facilitation was held on November 25th, 2019, at the Ministry of Commerce. The meeting was attended by Zeki Kıvanç, member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). ​

Selçuk Öztürk, Vice President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), along with the Republic of Turkey Vice President Fuat Oktay attended the Turkey-Kyrgyzstan 9th Joint Economic Commission Meeting chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov. ​

Özturk Oran, member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), attended the 25th Meeting of the Tabriz Chamber of Commerce on November 20, 2019. He gave a speech by attending the National Non-Oil Export Development Forum.​

The number of newly established companies, the number of sole proprietorships and the number of cooperatives increased by 8,52% , 9,96% and 2,75% respectively according to the previous month. The number of closed companies, the number of closed cooperatives and the number of closed sole proprietorships increased by 2,92% , 7,35% and 10,05% respectively according to the previous month.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board of Directors Vice President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu stated that the mutual trade volume of Turkey and Qatar reached $3 billion, and added, “The Qatari capital investing in our country 10 years ago was $100 million, but now this figure has reached $2.5 billion. The value of the projects undertaken by Turkish companies in Qatar reached $17 billion.”​

The Turkish-US Defense and Aviation Workshop was hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President of the Board of Directors Tamer Kıran attended the 15th Anniversary Gala of AmCham Turkey (ABFT). ​

The TIR Committee, appointed by the TOBB Board of Directors for a period of two years, was convened in Istanbul under TOBB Vice President and TIR Committee Chairman Tamer Kıran. At the meeting, application acceptances of companies wishing to operate within the TIR System, demands of firms wishing to leave the system, firm requests who want to benefit from the guarantee discount and evaluations regarding the firms involved in irregularities for various reasons were discussed. In addition, current problems of the sector and solutions were discussed. ​
