Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Chamber/Exchange Assembly Members Information Seminar, which took place on November 16-17, 2024, was held at TOBB Twin Towers. Cengiz Delibaş, Deputy Secretary General of TOBB, stated in his speech at the opening of the seminar that the participants will be informed about the institutional structure and affiliates of TOBB.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Patent and Trademark Attorneys Council held its last meeting of the year at the Union headquarters under the chairmanship of Council President Kemal Yamankaradeniz with the participation of TOBB Board Member Hakan Ülken.​

The Accreditation Board, which is responsible for carrying out the work of the Chamber / Commodity Exchange Accreditation System, convened with its new members under the chairmanship of Faik Yavuz, Chairman of the TOBB Accreditation Board and Treasurer Member of the TOBB Board of Directors.​

The 38th Asia-Pacific Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) Conference was held in Singapore on November 11-12, 2024. The conference was attended by TOBB Board Member Mehmet Büyüksimitci representing the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) achieved great success in the elections for the Board of Directors and Passenger Council of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) for the 2025-2027 period, held in Geneva, Switzerland on November 7, 2024.​

Ministry and Sector Representatives came together at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) within the scope of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (KKDİK) Workgroup Meeting.​

The World ATA Carnet Council (WATAC) 2024 2nd Term Meeting of the ATA Carnet System, which facilitates temporary import/export transactions, was held in İstanbul on October 28-29, 2024, hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB). 51 participants from 30 country guarantor organizations and ICC Officials attended the meeting where the latest developments in the ATA Carnet system were discussed.​

According to the Domestic Goods Communiqué (SGM 2014/35) prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology pursuant to Article 63 of the Public Procurement Law No. 4734 and entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated September 13, 2014 and numbered 29118, TOBB approved 1.398 Domestic Goods Certificates were approved. 1,384 of the Domestic Goods Certificates approved in October 2024 are active in the system.​

TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Board Central Anatolia Regional Meeting was held online under the chairmanship of TOBB Nevşehir KGK President and Regional Representative Gülper Gündüz Yassı.​

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in October 2024 increased by 24.39% (1,194 units) compared to October 2023 (4,896 units) and reached 6,090 units.​
