Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Customs and Foreign Trade Workgroup, which operates under the Trade Facilitation Coordination Committee and is co-chaired by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, met online on October 27, 2026.​

To mark the 65th anniversary of the Labor Agreement signed between Türkiye and Germany, the event titled “National Interests, the Need for a Skilled Workforce, and the Dynamics of Brain Drain” was held in Ankara, hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).​

The meeting of the Forest Products Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), which addressed current issues in the sector, was held online with the participation of TOBB Board Member Saim Özakalın, Council Chairman Mahir Arın, and Council members.​

The 48th General Assembly Meeting and 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Region Road Transport Associations Union (BSEC-URTA) were held in İstanbul, hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).​

During the first nine months of the year 2026 the number of newly established Companies increased by 6,5% while and the number of sole proprietorships and the number of cooperatives decreased by 0,1% and 25,1%.​

Ulrika Funered, Sweden’s Ambassador to Ankara, visited Mustafa Bayburtlu, Deputy Secretary General of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), at his office.​

The meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) HVAC Council was attended by Selçuk Öztürk, Member of the TOBB Board of Directors; Murat Yazgan, Deputy Director General for Industry; Fatih Özçınar, Director of the Machinery and Electronics Industry Department at the General Directorate of Industry; Volkan Polat, Head of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Monitoring Department at the Climate Change Directorate, and his team, as well as representatives from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), under the chairmanship of Council President Mehmet Hakkı Şanal.​​​

The 29th Annual Consumer Awards Ceremony was held at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) with the participation of Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and Faik Yavuz, Treasurer of the TOBB Board of Directors.​

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülçin Türkmen Sarıyıldız, Chair of the Türkiye Health Services Council, attended the 13th Health Summit held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Ankara on October 15–16, 2026, with the aim of finding solutions to the challenges facing the private healthcare sector and contributing to the sustainability of our healthcare system. ​​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) hosted a delegation from the Belgian Embassy at a meeting organized to further Türkiye-Belgium economic relations.​
