Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

During the first seven months of the year 2026 the number of newly established Companies and the number of sole proprietorships increased by 7,4% and 4,1% while the number of cooperatives decreased by 20,1%. ​

The TIR Committee of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) met via video conference, chaired by Tamer Kıran, Deputy Chairman of the TOBB Board of Directors, with the participation of TIR Committee members.​

The “Capacity Report Expert Training,” which experts listed on the Chamber’s expert rosters, specifically those to be assigned to prepare Capacity Reports, are required to complete, was held online on August 19, 2026. ​

A preparatory meeting for the g3 Forum Entrepreneurship Summit, scheduled to take place in Istanbul in December, was held under the chairmanship of Turgut Konukoğlu, Chair of the TOBB Young Entrepreneurs’ Council (GGK), with the participation of TOBB GGK Vice-Chairs Deren Öztürk Mataracı and Bora Caldu, and hosted by Pelin Karadeniz Kış, Chair of the TOBB İstanbul GGK, at the Istanbul Chamber of Industry.​

Deren Öztürk Mataracı, Vice Chair of the TOBB Young Entrepreneurs Council, participated in the “D-8 Youth Bridges” program organized by the D-8 Secretariat in İstanbul as part of International Youth Day on behalf of the TOBB Young Entrepreneurs Council. ​​

A meeting of the Forest Products Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), was held at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building to discuss current issues facing the sector. The meeting was attended by TOBB Board Member Saim Özakalın and Council members.​​

The “COP31 Private Sector Envoy,” the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), participated in the webinar titled “Toward COP31: Agenda, Priorities, and the Role of the Business Community,” organized by the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​​

As part of the Digital Export Enhancement Program (DEEP), carried out in collaboration with TOBB, the Ministry of Trade, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and TOBB ETÜ SEM, a workshop on “AI-Supported E-Export and the Transition to Agentic Commerce for SMEs” was held in Bolu.​

The Türkiye Commodity Exchange (TÜRİB) and the Association of Agricultural Journalists and Writers (TAGYAD) organized a “Press Event Marking the 7th Anniversary of TÜRİB’s Inauguration and the 2026 International Year of Women Farmers,” which was also attended by Işılay Reis Yorgun, a member of the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Supreme Council.​​

As part of the “Partnering in Business with Germany” program, carried out in cooperation between the Ministry of Trade and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), a preparatory workshop for Phase 4 participants was held, hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), the program’s implementing partner in Türkiye.​
