Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Transportation and Logistics Council meeting was attended by TOBB Executive Board Vice Chairman Tamer Kıran, TOBB Executive Board Member Cihat Lokmanoğlu, TOBB Deputy Secretary General Cengiz Delibaş, General Director of Transportation Services Regulation Murat Baştor, Deputy General Director Giray Yüksel, Department Heads Kerim Cicioğlu, Burhan Açıkgöz, Zafer Kögmen, Sinan Oğuz, Director of the Traffic Safety Department Aziz Bülent Yücel, and Director of the Transit and TIR Department at the Ministry of Trade’s General Directorate of Customs Serkan Ayyıldız, under the chairmanship of Council President Şerafettin Aras.​

As part of critical changes made to the preferential rules of origin legislation at the end of 2025, the rules of origin between Türkiye and countries in the Europe-Mediterranean region—where more than half of Türkiye’s foreign trade takes place—have been revised.​

Dilşad Kırbaşlı Karaoğlu, who has been appointed as Ambassador to the Turkish Embassy in Dakar, visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and met with TOBB Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Bayburtlu. During the meeting, they exchanged views on economic and commercial relations between Türkiye and Senegal. ​

Croatia’s Ambassador to Ankara Hrvoje Cvitanovic and Croatia’s Deputy Chief of Mission Dražen Keser visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and met with TOBB Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Bayburtlu. During the meeting, Türkiye-Croatia economic and trade relations were discussed. ​

Mustafa Bayburtlu, Deputy Secretary General of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), visited Hendrik Van De Velde, Belgium's Ambassador to Ankara. The meeting, which was also attended by First Secretary Hannes Dekeyser, discussed potential opportunities for cooperation. ​

The BİGG GARAJ program, run in collaboration with TOBB ETÜ, ASELSAN, and KTO Karatay University with the support of TÜBİTAK, will provide entrepreneurs with 1 million 350 thousand lira in investment support. Applications are now open online.​

The 5th Logistics Coordination Committee and 6th Logistics Coordination Executive Committee met under the chairmanship of Enver İskurt, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.​

The closing meeting of the EULEP (European Learning Experience Platform) Project, coordinated by EUROCHAMBRES, was held in Brussels.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) TIR Committee convened via video conference, chaired by Tamer KIRAN, Vice President of the Board of Directors, with the participation of TIR Committee members.​

The Tax Advisory Board of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) met on March 3, 2026, chaired by Board Chairman Fatih Dural and attended by TOBB Executive Board Member Zeki Kıvanç. The meeting evaluated current developments in tax practices, employment-focused incentive regulations, and the Bill Proposing Amendments to Certain Laws submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye from the perspective of the business world. ​
