Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Patent and Trademark Representatives Council convened via video conference. At the meeting chaired by TOBB Board Member Hakan Ülken and Chairman of the Chamber of Patent and Trademark Regents Kemal Yamankaradeniz, members were informed about the status of recent parliamentary activities such as consultation meetings with associations within parliament and visits to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority.​

The Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the Turkey-Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum was signed by TOBB and the Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Foreign Trade in Istanbul.​

The Turkish Product Specialized Exchange (TÜRİB) and The Agricultural Credit Cooperatives of Turkey (AGRICULTURE CREDIT) went to cooperation on the conversion of contracted agricultural products purchased by AGRICULTURAL CREDIT member cooperatives into electronic product bonds (ELÜS) and trading in TÜRİB.​

The number of newly established companies, the number of cooperatives the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 3,23% 1,24% and 1,24% respectively according to the previous month.​

In coordination with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), trade associations of European origin in Turkey are preparing a report with the support of the Turkish Economic Policy Research Foundation (TEPAV) and the Economic Development Foundation (IKV) to draw attention to the issue of updating the Customs Union between Turkey and the European Union.​

The second week of the e-Commerce e-Guide Training Program organized within the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey was held with the e-Commerce Logistics panel and in cooperation with AmCham.​

With the organization of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the State-Sponsored Commercial Credit Insurance Information Seminar was held online.​

The TIR Committee, commissioned by the TOBB Board of Directors for two-year periods, convened via video conference under the chairmanship of Tamer Kıran, TOBB Vice President and Chairman of the TIR Committee.​

Prior to the Accreditation Certification Audits scheduled for March-April 2021, the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th, 10th and 13th Accreditation development visits to Accredited Chamber/Exchanges via video conference were organized.​

CERN Tenders Information Seminar was held online in cooperation under the organization of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the European Nuclear Research Center (CERN).​
