Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

During the first three months of the year 2026 the number of newly established Companies increased by 1,3% while the number of cooperatives and the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 28,3% and 1,2% according to the same period of the year 2025.​

The Türkiye Services Council meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) was attended by Ali Kopuz, Vice Chairman of the TOBB Board of Directors; Mustafa Bakır, Deputy Director General for Professional Services at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change; and Hilal Tatar, Department Director; Fikret Demir, Director of the Meat and Milk Institution; Nedim Can, Director of the Social Security Institution’s Insurance Premium Incentives Department; and Kadir Önder, Group Director of the Revenue Administration; and was held in Ankara under the chairmanship of Council President Hüseyin Bozdağ.​

Tamer Kıran, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), met with Yelena Malinovskaya, Vice President of the Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) held the first meeting of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Attorneys Council in 2026 at the Union’s headquarters, chaired by Council President Kemal Yamankaradeniz and attended by TOBB Board of Directors members Hakan Ülken and Ali Çandır.​

Dr. Lilian Mlay, Senior Economist at the Ministry of Finance of the United Republic of Tanzania, and her delegation visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and met with TOBB Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Bayburtlu and TOBB Presidential Advisor H. Çağrı Gürgür.​

The TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council Western Black Sea Regional Meeting was held online chaired by Mihriban Akyüz, Chair of the TOBB Samsun Women Entrepreneurs Council and Western Black Sea Regional Representative.​

The TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council (KGK) Marmara Regional Meeting was hosted by the TOBB Yalova Women Entrepreneurs Council, which operates under the coordination of the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​

The “Technological and Innovative Solutions in Energy Competition,” organized by the Women in Technology Association (Wtech) to support women’s leadership and innovation in technology, has concluded. The final event of the competition was hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).​

The 1st International Halal Accreditation Congress, held in Ankara from April 6–8, 2026, was organized with the participation of Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, President of the Halal Accreditation Agency Zafer Soylu, President of TIKA Abdullah Eren, Secretary-General of the Islamic Countries Standards and Metrology Institute (SMIIC), and representatives of the global halal accreditation system.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Mining Council convened under the chairmanship of Council President İbrahim Halil Kırşan, with the participation of Şaban A. Karamehmetoğlu, the TOBB Board Member responsible for the Council, and Fatih Ekmekçi, General Director of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permits, and Inspection.​
