Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The first meeting of the “Free Allocation and Benchmark Values Determination Workgroup,” established to determine benchmark values and allocation rates for Emission Trading System sectors in preparation for decisions to be taken at the Carbon Market Advisory Board meeting established by the Climate Law No. 7552 and chaired by TOBB, was held.​

Murat Ertekin, Public Relations Manager of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA), visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and met with TOBB Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Bayburtlu. ​

Ali Kopuz, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the closing session of the 5th Türkiye-Africa Business and Economic Forum held in İstanbul with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, and Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa Paul Mashatile.​

During the first nine months of the year 2025 the number of newly established Companies and the number of cooperatives decreased by 1,1% and 31,4% while the number of sole proprietorships increased by 14,5% according to the same period of the year 2024.​

A delegation from the Pakistan National Management College (NMC), led by Sijal Tauseef Khan and consisting of senior public administrators, visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) on October 16, 2025.​

The TOBB Young Entrepreneurs Council (GGK) Western Mediterranean Regional Meeting was held on October 15-16, 2025, hosted by the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the participation of TOBB Board Member Seyit Ardıç. The meeting was attended by TOBB GGK Supreme Council Members, regional provincial chairpersons, Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Yusuf Hacısüleyman, and TOBB Antalya Women Entrepreneurs Council President Serap Kocaoğlu.​

A meeting between the South African Vice President’s Wife Humile Mashatile and the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council (KGK) was held at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building, chaired by TOBB Board Member Işınsu Kestelli.​

The “Capacity Report Expert Training” required for experts listed in the Chamber Expert lists who will be assigned to prepare Capacity Reports was conducted online.​

As part of the Chamber/Exchange Accreditation System activities, New Accreditation Standard Training was organized at TOBB on October 13-14, 2025, for the 9th and 12th Term Accredited Chambers/Exchanges that will undergo Development Visits. The training covered the requirements of the new accreditation standard under the categories of Basic Competencies - Basic Services - New Generation Services - Exchange Activities. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) participated in two important sessions at Busworld Europe 2025, held in Brussels, Belgium.​
