Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Casting Industry Council meeting was held by video conference on December 5th with the participation of TOBB Vice President Salih Zeki Murzioğlu and the chairmanship of Council President Uğur Kocaoğlu and with the participation of high-level representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations.​

Speaking at the Green Transformation in Industry Seminar, Faik Yavuz, Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), said, “Whether we want to or not, we have to comply with the requirements of the circular economy in order to continue our trade with other countries.”​

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in November 2022 decreased by 5% (244 units) compared to November 2021 (4,890 units) and reached 4,646 units.​

The 84th event of TOBB Türkiye Technology Meetings, which was held under the auspices of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in cooperation with E-commerce Center A.Ş. and the Women in Technology Association (Wtech), was held in Adana on November 30, 2022 with the main theme of “Digital Affairs.”​

TOBB UYUM Mediation and Dispute Resolution Center, TOBB Türkiye Patent and Trademark Attorneys Council and Turkish Software Council organized an online informative meeting on, “Dispute Resolution Mechanisms in Internet Domain Names with TR Extension.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Free Zones Council meeting was held via video-conference under the chairmanship of Council President Edvar Mum with the participation of TOBB Vice President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu and TOBB Board Member M. Cihat Lokmanoğlu.​

The 36th Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) Conference was held on 28-30 November 2022 in Melbourne, Australia. TOBB Board Member Hakan Ülken, representing the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the conference.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Road Passenger Transport Council convened under the chairmanship of TOBB Vice President Tamer Kıran and Council President Mustafa Yıldırım, with the participation of Metin Karaman, Vice President of the Vocational Qualifications Authority (VQA), Kerim Cicioğlu, Head of Road Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and Ali Rıza Çelik, Head of Road Transport Training and Certification Department of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, in İstanbul to evaluate the issues of the sector.​

On behalf of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), TOBB EU and Foreign Relations Department Head Mustafa Bayburtlu attended the European Public Law Chambers (EPLC) High Level Group Meeting held online. During the meeting, discussions were held on current developments in the European Public Law Chambers against the current crises. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Education Council Meeting was held at the Ankara Union Center with the participation of TOBB Vice President Selçuk Öztürk, who is responsible for the Council, and Vedat Kuşgözoğlu, Head of the Education Policies Department of the General Directorate of Private Education Institutions of the Ministry of National Education, and with the intense interest of high-level representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations under the chairmanship of Council President Dr. Yusuf Ekinci.​
