Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

According to the 2019 fair statistics announced by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB); 482 national and international fairs were held throughout Turkey. Of these, 475 were in specialized fairs and 7 were in general fairs. 349 national and 133 international fairs were held in 2019. The total number of visits reached 25,828,251, of which 719,267 were foreigners.​

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in February 2020 increased by 12% (389 units) to 3,632 units compared to February 2019.​

The Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Chamber/Commodity Exchange Council Members Information Seminar was held at TOBB Twin Towers. TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz, who gave the keynote speech of the seminar, wished the participants success. The seminar provided information about the corporate structure and subsidiaries of TOBB. ​

Representatives of the textile and apparel sector convened at TOBB to evaluate the current situation of the sector, with the participation of the Central Bank. ​

The Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board Member Zeki Kıvanç participated in the “Evaluation of Ways of Revocation Against Arbitral Decisions” held in Abant, through the cooperation of the Supreme Court, the Istanbul Arbitration Center (İSTAC) and TOBB. ​

TOBB Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Council Eastern Anatolia Regional Meeting was hosted by Elazığ Chamber of Commerce and Industry. ​

The “Women Entrepreneurs Competition of Antalya,” organized 6 times prior by the TOBB Antalya Women Entrepreneurs Council, was organized under the name “2019 Western Mediterranean Women Entrepreneurs Competition,” including TOBB Afyon, Isparta and Burdur Women Entrepreneurs Councils.​

The TIR Committee, appointed by the TOBB Board of Directors over a two-year period, convened at TOBB under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Vice President and TIR Committee Chairman Tamer Kıran. ​

OPET Board Founding Member Nurten Öztürk attended the "Inspiring Success Stories" Conference organized for the development and promotion of women entrepreneurship on February 24th, 2020 by Cevahir Asuman Yazcı, Vice President of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council and Chair of the Executive Committee of TOBB Şanlıurfa Women Entrepreneurs Council. TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay attended the conference wherein Nurten Öztürk, Founding Member of the Board of Directors of OPET, shared her knowledge and experience on the path of entrepreneurship with the participants. ​

The 2020 February Committee Meeting of the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette was held at TOBB with the participation of the Ministry of Commerce Domestic Trade General Manager Adnan Yankın, TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz, Deputy Secretary General Ali Emre Yurdakul and the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette Director Gökhan Mirahmetoğlu. ​
