Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

During the first five months of the year 2025 the number of newly established Companies and the number of cooperatives decreased by 2,6% and 26,7% while the number of sole proprietorships increased by 16,1% according to the same period of the year 2024.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) organized a training program for the delegation of the Turkmenistan State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange on Commodity Exchanges in Türkiye.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), in cooperation with IRU, organized an informative webinar on transit transports to be made with TIR carnet through Iraq. In the event, where more than 100 participants took part, the practices related to transit transports to be carried out through Iraq within the scope of the TIR System were discussed.​

On June 17, World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, Faik Yavuz, Treasurer Member of the Board of Directors representing the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the event held at Ankara İlbank Social Facilities with the participation of Fatma Varank, Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Turkey Retail Council discussed the current developments of the retail sector comprehensively at the meeting held online.​

The joint meeting of TOBB Türkiye Forest Products and Furniture Products Councils was held under the chairmanship of Saim Özakalın, TOBB Board Member responsible for the Council, Haluk Yıldız, Chairman of the Forest Products Council and Ercan Ata, Chairman of the Furniture Products Council, with the participation of Bekir Karacabey, General Director of Forestry, as well as representatives of public, private sector and non-governmental organizations.​

An online “United Nations Business Opportunities Seminar” was organized in cooperation with TOBB and the United Nations (UN).​

Tamer Kıran, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the “Venezuelan Export Products Fair Opening Session” organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Venezuela in Ankara and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). ​

The tenth of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council Value Adding Women Entrepreneurs Meetings was held in the Western Mediterranean Region under the chairmanship of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council President Nurten Öztürk.​

The third Aegean Region meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Women Entrepreneurs Council (KGK) was hosted by Muğla Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​
