Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The meeting of the Türkiye Pharmaceutical Industry Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) was held in İstanbul under the chairmanship of Council President Nezih Barut.​

Ali Kopuz, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the opening ceremony of the OECD Skills Summit held in İstanbul with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During the ceremony, Kopuz met with Minister of Labor and Social Security Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan and OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann.​

The third event of Climate Week in 2026 - an international event organized under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to support the intergovernmental process and promote urgent and inclusive climate action - was held in Yeosu, South Korea, from April 21-25, 2026.​

The meeting of the Türkiye Petroleum and Petroleum Products Industry Council, organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), was attended by Engin Yeşil, a member of the TOBB Board of Directors, Ali Rıza Çelik, Head of the Education and Certification Department at the General Directorate of Transportation Services Regulation under the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, and Asuman Girgin, Head of the Soil Pollution Control Branch at the General Directorate of Environmental Management under the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, and was chaired by Council President Ahmet Erdem.​

The Türkiye Health Services Council, operating under the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), has elected its new presiding board for the upcoming term. Gülçin Türkmen Sarıyıldız, General Manager of Medicana Hospitals, was elected as Chair of the Council.​

The Türkiye International Health Tourism Council, operating under the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), re-elected its vice chair. Temel Uzlu, a Board Member representing Romatem Physical Therapy Center, was elected as Vice Chair of the Council.​

The 2nd International Geographical Indications Summit was held in Antalya in collaboration with Akdeniz University, the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and YÜciTA. The summit brought together key representatives from Türkiye and international stakeholders in the field of geographical indications.​

The meeting of the Türkiye Cosmetics and Hygienic Products Industry Council, organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), was held in İstanbul under the chairmanship of Council President Ahmet Pura, with the participation of TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay. ​​

The TOBB Mersin Women Entrepreneurs Council Provincial Meeting and Inspiring Women Gatherings were held under the auspices of the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​

During the first three months of the year 2026 the number of newly established Companies increased by 1,3% while the number of cooperatives and the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 28,3% and 1,2% according to the same period of the year 2025.​
