Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülçin Türkmen Sarıyıldız, Chair of the Türkiye Health Services Council, attended the 13th Health Summit held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Ankara on October 15–16, 2026, with the aim of finding solutions to the challenges facing the private healthcare sector and contributing to the sustainability of our healthcare system. ​​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) hosted a delegation from the Belgian Embassy at a meeting organized to further Türkiye-Belgium economic relations.​

The “Geographical Indications and Local Heritage: Tradition to the Future” commemorative and vision program, organized by the Turkish Research Network for Local Products and Geographical Indications (YÜCİTA) to mark its 15th anniversary, was held in Antalya. Ali Çandır, a member of the Board of Directors, attended the program on behalf of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB). ​​

At the Türkiye-EU High-Level Business Forum held in Brussels with the participation of Trade Minister Ömer Bolat and Maroš Šefčovič, the EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, TOBB was represented by Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (IKV) and President of the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry.​

Organized jointly by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), with the support of the Turkish-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TATSO) and the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Türkiye), the 4th Turkish-German Economic Conference, TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz met with Dr. Martin Wansleben, former Secretary General of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Omar Choura, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Choura Investment Holding Group. ​

The TIR Committee of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) met via videoconference. During the meeting, applications from companies for admission to the TIR System and company files raised in the context of international transportation activities were discussed and decisions were made. ​

Organized jointly by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), with the support of the Turkish-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TATSO) and the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Turkey), the 4th Turkish-German Economic Conference, TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz met with Dr. Volker Treier, Member of the Executive Board and Director of Foreign Trade at the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. ​

Hosted by the Medical Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), the Medical Device Sector Consultation Meeting, which assessed public procurement and supply processes in the medical device sector, was attended by Faik Yavuz, Treasurer of the TOBB Board of Directors, Hüseyin Çelik, President of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK); Şinasi Candan, General Director of the State Supply Office (DMO); Prof. Dr. Bahar Aydınlı, Deputy General Director of Public Hospitals; Elif Tuğçe Çınar, Deputy General Director of Industry; and their teams, under the chairmanship of Council President Levent Mete Özgürbüz.​​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETÜ) was honored with the University-Business Collaboration Award as part of the YÖK 2026 Awards for Outstanding Achievement. The award was presented to TOBB ETÜ by President Erdoğan at the 2026-2027 Higher Education Academic Year Opening Ceremony held at the Presidential Complex.​

Yang Xiaoping, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Zhejiang, and his delegation visited the TOBB İstanbul Service Building and met with Bahri Can Çalıcıoğlu, Special Advisor to the President.​
