Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

“Informative Meeting on Zero Waste Practices for Shopping Malls, Restaurants and Chain Markets” was held in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.​

The 62nd Ordinary General Assembly of the Economic Development Foundation (IKV) took place on July 11, 2024. Tamer Kıran, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the General Assembly and delivered a speech on behalf of TOBB.​

The “e-Commerce and Data Analytics Workshop” organized by the Ministry of Trade, General Directorate of Domestic Trade, e-Commerce Department was hosted by our Association in Ankara with the participation of Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan, TOBB Board Member Seyit Ardıç, General Director of Domestic Trade Adem Başar, TOBB Türkiye e-Commerce Council President Ozan Acar and TOBB Türkiye e-Commerce Council Vice President Senem Yavaş.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Board Member Selçuk Öztürk met with Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Beverage Industry Council convened under the chairmanship of Ozan Diren, Council President, to discuss the issues on the agenda.​

The funeral of Zerrin Özdemir, the mother of Sivas Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Zeki Özdemir, who passed away, was laid to rest in Çınarcık Cemetery after the funeral prayer at Çınarcık Central Mosque in Yalova on July 9, 2024.​

A delegation led by Oudet Souvannavong, President of the Laos National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) visited the İstanbul Office of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). During the visit, fruitful discussions were held with TOBB Vice President Tamer Kıran on cooperation opportunities.​

Regional representative and TOBB Nevşehir Women Entrepreneurs Council President Gülper Gündüz Yassı chaired the meeting in which TOBB Aksaray Women Entrepreneurs Council President Miray Koyuncu, TOBB Çankırı Women Entrepreneurs Council President Nagihan Özer Sarıbal, TOBB Eskişehir Women Entrepreneurs Council President Elif Gürkaynak, TOBB Karaman Women Entrepreneurs Council President Ahsen Toktay, TOBB Kırıkkale Women Entrepreneurs Council President Melek Sultan Tufan, TOBB Kırşehir Women Entrepreneurs Council President Özge Şenlik, TOBB Konya Women Entrepreneurs Council President Meryem Betül Özkardeş and TOBB Provincial KGK Executive Committee Members from the regional provinces participated. ​

Türkiye-EU High Level Trade Dialogue meeting was held in Brussels. The meeting, co-chaired by Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and Vice President of the European Commission Vladis Dombrovsks, was attended by TOBB, TİM, TÜSİAD, TİSK, DEİK, İKV, MÜSİAD and TURKONFED from Türkiye and the Brussels headquarters, business umbrella organizations Eurochambres, BusinessEurope and SME United.​

Within the framework of the provisions of the Domestic Goods Communiqué (SGM 2014/35) prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in accordance with Article 63 of the Public Procurement Law No. 4734 and entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated September 13, 2014 and numbered 29118, 1,180 Domestic Goods Certificates were approved by TOBB in June 2024. In June 2024, there was a decrease of 5.4% (68 units) compared to June of the previous year. 1,148 of the Domestic Goods Certificates approved in June 2024 are active in the system.​
