Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Council of Patent and Trademark Regents of Turkey held its last meeting of the year with the participation of TOBB Board Member Hakan Ülken under the chairmanship Council President Kemal Yamankaradeniz.​

The last Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) TIR Committee meeting of the year was held via video conference.​

“Professional Driving Profession Panel” was held on 21.12.2021 hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). TOBB, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and TSOF jointly gave the opening speeches of the panel, TOBB Vice President Tamer Kıran stated that the recent crisis in professional driver employment can be overcome through complementary and renewed training together with improving the treatment and working conditions of drivers.​

Eskişehir Chamber of Industry Councilor, son of Savaş Özaydemir, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eskişehir Chamber of Industry, Endel Group of Companies Vice President Barış Yalçın Özaydemir's funeral was conducted after the afternoon prayers on Thursday, December 23, 2021.​

Horizon Europe Monitoring and Steering Board meeting was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı and TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal. Cahit Ceren, Director of the Industrial and SME Research and Consultancy Center representing the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), attended the meeting.​

The second part session of Marmara region Transportation Electronic Tracking Control System (U-ETDS) Seminar series was held on December 22, 2021. In the seminar, with the support and participation of the TIR Operations Directorate of TOBB Transportation and Logistics Systems Department, explanatory information about the Transportation Electronic Monitoring and Inspection System was given by the officials of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and the questions of the participants were answered at the end of the seminar.​

The sixteenth of the roadshow, which covers face-to-face trainings in the designated provinces after the online trainings in the Heroines of Entrepreneurship Project, which was implemented with the support of Arçelik Retail Academy in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Women Entrepreneurs Council and Beko, was held in Düzce Teknopark.​

Chaired by Nurten Öztürk, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Women Entrepreneurs Council President, with the participation of TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council Executive Committee Members, TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council Members and provincial council members, TOBB Düzce and TOBB Muş Women Entrepreneur Councils, the 26th Value Adding Women Entrepreneurs Meeting.​

TOBB conducted an implementation training with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and IRU between 13-15 December 2021 in order to see the operation and implementation of the TIR system, of which Turkey is the largest practitioner in the international arena, for the delegation headed by the Iraqi Ministry of Transport.​

A working dinner was hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) with the participation of Roy Perrin, Undersecretary of Economy at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Heather Byrnes, Undersecretary of Commerce, Adam Schick in Charge of Economic Affairs and Fred Aziz, Trade Counsellor.​
