Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

A consultation meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez on the difficulties in energy supply for industrial sectors.​

Credit Guarantee Fund (KGF) Information Seminar was held online. The seminar, which was held in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and the Credit Guarantee Fund, discussed the introduction of the Credit Guarantee Fund and the functioning of the bail system, current treasury-backed bail packages and equity and foreign-sourced support packages.​

In the year 2021 the number of newly established companies increased by 8.3% while the number cooperatives and the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 3,1% and 11,2% with respect to the previous year.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Retail Council Meeting was held via video conference, chaired by Council President Alp Önder Özpamukçu with the participation of TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay in charge of the Council; Soner Kaya, Deputy Director General of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Commerce; Tuğrul Kaynarca, Head of the Department of Vegetable and Fruit Trade; İsmail Tüfekçi, Head of the Unfair Price Assessment Department as well as representatives from General Directorate of Consumer Protection, ‎General Directorate of Consumer Protection and Market Supervision and General Directorate of Environmental Management of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, Climate Change with the participation of high-level representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations.​

Orientation Training was organized on January 19th, 2022 to introduce the institutional structure and activities of our Union to the employees who started work at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in the last four months and the Students of Joint Education for the Period of January-April 2022.​

Chaired by Nurten Öztürk, Women Entrepreneurs Council President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the 30th meeting of the Value-Adding Women Entrepreneurs Meeting was held with TOBB Erzurum and TOBB Manisa Women Entrepreneur Council and the participation of the TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council, Executive Committee Members and Provincial Board Members.​

The TOBB Accreditation Council, responsible for the execution of chamber/exchange accreditation system efforts, convened via video conference under the chairmanship of Accreditation Council President Faik Yavuz.​

The Meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Travel Agents and Guides Council was held via video conference under the chairmanship of Council President Firuz Bağkaya with the participation of TOBB Board Member Davut Çetin.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Durable Consumer Goods Council held its first meeting of the year under the chairmanship of Council President Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioğlu with the participation of TOBB Board Member Oğuzhan Ata Sadıkoğlu.​

Central Anatolia Region Women's Cooperatives Workshop was held on January 14, 2022 hosted by Aksaray Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​
