Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Uzbekistan Tourism Investment Forum 2019 was held at TOBB Istanbul Service Building in cooperation with the State Investment Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and within the scope of the activities of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).​

Digital Tachograph Training was held at TOBB on the 16th and 19th of December, 2019, with the participation of personnel working in the field of digital tachograph from 82 chambers. ​

The number of newly established companies, the number of sole proprietorships and the number of cooperatives decreased by 7,44% , 4,68% and 8,93% respectively according to the previous month. The number of closed companies and the number of closed cooperatives decreased by 13,68% and 6,85% while and the number of closed sole proprietorships increased by 3,21% according to the previous month.​

The 9th Coordination Meeting was held in Ankara with the participation of Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Selim Dursun, TOBB Vice President Tamer Kıran and senior representatives of the public and private sectors. ​

Turkey Durable Consumer Goods Council held its year-end meeting in Istanbul chaired by TOBB Board Member Oğuzhan Ata Sadıkoğlu and Council President Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioğlu.with the participation of and Council Members. TOBB Board Member Sadıkoğlu expressed his satisfaction that the durable consumer goods council meetings are continuing and that members bring up the current issues that are extremely important during these meetings. ​

Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sevinc Hasanova and the accompanying delegation visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and met with Tamer Kıran, TOBB Board of Directors Vice President. During the meeting, bilateral relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan were discussed and a detailed presentation was made to the visiting delegation about TOBB's activities. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Packaging Council met with the Council members at the TOBB Istanbul Service Building to conduct a sectoral assessment of 2019 and to discuss current issues, chaired by TOBB Board Member Engin Yeşil and Council President Mustafa Tacir. ​

The Meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Paper and Paper Products Industry Council was held at TOBB Istanbul Service Building with the high participation of private sector representatives and chaired by TOBB Board Member Engin Yeşil and Council President Erdal Sukan. TOBB Board Member Engin Yeşil relayed TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu’s greeting salute in his opening speech and stated that TOBB is always following up on the problems of the sector. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board of Directors Member Hakan Ülken attended and participated in the 2nd Istanbul Geographical Marker Summit Conference organized with the participation and support of TOBB, TURKPATENT and MEB and hosted by Metro Turkey.​

EUROCHAMBRES Secretary General Arnaldo Abruzzini, in Ankara for the Turkey-EU Business Dialogue Project Monitoring Committee Meeting, attended the breakfast hosted by Mustafa Saraçöz, Secretary General of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). ​
