Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Training Program on Establishing a Supportive Policy Framework for Promoting Youth and Women Entrepreneurship was held online between 9-10 January 2024 with the support of TOBB.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Chamber/Exchange Council Members Information Seminar, covering the days of January 06-07, 2024, started at TOBB Twin Towers.​

In December 2023, 1,375 Domestic Goods Certificates were approved by TOBB within the framework of the provisions of the Domestic Goods Communiqué (SGM 2014/35) prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology pursuant to Article 63 of the Public Procurement Law No. 4734 and published in the Official Gazette No. 29118 dated September 13, 2014. In December 2023, there was a 21.4% decrease (375 units) compared to December of the previous year.​

TOBB Board Member Ali Çandır met with Shamil Ageev, President of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who visited Türkiye, and exchanged views on Türkiye-Tatarstan relations and potential cooperation. ​

Tamer Kıran, Vice President of the Board of Directors of TOBB, attended the Türkiye-United Kingdom Round Table Meeting and JETCO 7th Term Meeting held in İstanbul, co-chaired by Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade, and Kemi Badenoch, Minister of State for International Trade of the United Kingdom. ​

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in December 2023 increased by 4.8% (236 units) compared to November 2023 (4,873 units) and reached 5,109 units, while the increase was 1.4% (70 units) compared to December 2022.​

Group 3213 Knitted Fabric, Various Knitted Goods, Embroidery and Embroidery Processing Criteria Revision Workgroup Meeting was held with the chambers that sent opinions to the revision study online.​

Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister of Health and Family Welfare of Karnataka State of India and N R Boseraju, Minister of Water Affairs of Karnataka State met with Tamer Kıran, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in İstanbul. During the meeting, mutual ideas were exchanged on sectors and opportunities specific to the State of Karnataka.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Glassware Council held its last meeting of 2023 via video conference with the participation of Ali Kopuz, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of TOBB, under the chairmanship of Murat Kolbaşı, Chairman of the Council.​

An online meeting was held with Export Support Offices. At the meeting on December 27, 2023, opinions, suggestions and evaluations were received from the offices regarding the activities to be carried out in 2024, and information was provided on the use of the Export Support website of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye. ​
