Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Ambassador to France, Burcuoğlu
The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in Paris for contacts with the French business world regarding the bill proposed at the French National Assembly to outlaw the denial of the Armenian genocide, met with Turkey’s Ambassador to France, Tahsin Burcuoğlu.

Kırşehir TSO opens new service building
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new service building of the Kırşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO), TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stating that agriculture used to be limited to subsistence, said, “Farming is now done for profit. We need to run inventory on our agriculture first. To date we still have no idea who is producing what. This can’t work unless we know how much of what goods we are producing.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu, visiting the French Ambassador, “Economic relations may suffer”
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the French Ambassador to Turkey, Laurent Bili. Relaying his reservations on the bill, stating that, “The denial of a genocide recognized by French law is punishable by law with a prison sentence of one year and a 45,000 Euro fine,” which is on the French parliament’s agenda, Hisarcıklıoğlu warned that Turkey-France economic relations may suffer as a result.

Congratulatory visit to Türk-İş President Kumlu
Making an announcement on behalf of the civil society organizations visiting Türk-İş President Mustafa Kumlu on his reelection to presidency, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the business world with its workers, employers, employees, syndicates, tradesmen, agriculture chambers and other profession organizations is in great solidarity; even though difference of opinion may be present, when the future and fate of Turkey are in question then everyone moves in unity.

Islam countries visit TOBB to share their commodity exchange experiences
Speaking at the Seminar on Experiences in Establishing Effective Commodity Exchanges in Islamic Development Bank Member Countries, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the most crucial issue of the century is hunger and went on, “If we do not find employment for our brothers struggling with famine we won’t be able to live in our own homes in peace.”
