The Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz attended the Agriculture and Forestry Council Action Plan Promotion Meeting held at the Forestry General Directorate. At the meeting, Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli announced plans for action on the implementation of the recommendation decisions taken on November 18-21, 2019.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Tamer Kıran attended the World Customs Day Event and Award Ceremony hosted by Minister of Commerce Ruhsar Pekcan. ​

The Union Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Climate Control Council, the public opinion process and pilot exam applications completed qualification reports submitted to the Vocational Qualification Authority (FMC) were discussed at the Meeting of the MyK Energy Sector Committee on January 16, 2020. ​

The First Turkish Side Meeting of the “Turkey-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum” established between the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Azerbaijan Employers Confederation was held at TOBB under TOBB Board Member Öztürk Oran.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Automotive Industry Council convened in Ankara to elect the Presidential Council under the chairmanship of TOBB Deputy Secretary General Cengiz Delibaş and to make the overall assessment of the sector.​

With the GS1-128 Barcode System, companies can offer the consumer's knowledge of the products they produce from the first stop to the last moment. GS1 Turkey authorities urged all companies to use this application to reassure consumers. The first application came from Metro Turkey. The company started to implement this system and presented the story of the meat to the end consumer with details of its arrival at the table. GS1 Turkey said in a statement that this application will increase transparency for companies emphasizing that it should be evaluated for all productions.​

The number of newly established companies, the number of sole proprietorships and the number of cooperatives increased by 1,53% , 44,97% and 0,98% respectively according to the previous month.​

Turkey Climate Control Council, in coordination with the Mechanical Engineers Chamber and the Turkish Plumbing Engineers Association, eight sections of the Machinery General Design Technical Specification of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, which was prepared in a period of over three years with the intensive follow-up and work of sectoral associations and expert engineers in our country, were published in the Official Gazette dated January 19, 2020 and numbered 31013. Work is underway for the remaining sections. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Climate Control Council held its second workshop in İzmir, hosted by İzmir Chamber of Commerce, as part of the preparations for the Climate Control Strategy Document. ​
