In his opening remarks, TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay made assessments of the state of the sector during the pandemic, expressing satisfaction with the increasing number of sector meetings and increasing the number of meetings during the pandemic compared to previous years.

TOBB Board Member Özer Matlı said that they are pleased with the problems and demands of the food and beverage sectors have been relayed to the Presidency and Ministries and have been addressed.

At the meeting, a presentation on “Proposed amendments to Law No. 5996” was given by Beverage Industry Council Advisor Prof. Dr. Nevzat Artık, and opinions and proposals were reported by industry representatives about the articles of law.

At the meeting, the main issues about starch-based sugar quota were evaluated and current issues in the sector were consulted.
