Areas Requiring Improvements in the Import Inspection Process discussed

Under the chairmanship of Özlem Güçlüer, Deputy Chairman of the TOBB Turkish Automotive Industry Council, Sanem Yıldız, Head of the Department of Product Safety and Supervision of the Ministry of Commerce, Hüseyin Alper Türedi, Deputy Secretary General of the TSE, and representatives of the industry within the Council convened to discuss “Areas Requiring Improvements in the Import Inspection Process.”​

Findings were conveyed at the meeting noting that recently, depending on the risk criteria for many imported parts, the inspection processes of the products directed to import control taking longer amounts of time and therefore the severely impacting production processes, testing and certification, operational processes; problems related to systemic problems were discussed in detail on the substance and possible improvements as well as solution proposals.
