In his opening speech, Hakan Ülken stated that the protocol to be signed between TOBB and the Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority (TÜRKPATENT) is important for increasing the level of awareness of the intellectual and industrial property rights of the business world. Council President Yamankaradeniz stressed that the correct promotion of the patent and trademark surrogacy profession is very important and that there are many added values which the profession can bring to the business world.

After being informed about the work of the subcommittees, the planned works for the correct promotion of the patent and trademark surrogacy profession were consulted. The issue of the unfair behaviors of people not registered in the TÜRKPATENT register has damaged the professional reputation and the measures which can be taken against them were raised.
