TOBB Turkey Durable Consumer Goods Council President Şirzat Subaşı stated that according to the sales figures in the sector, LCD TVs are the number one selling durable consumer goods, having sold 2 million units in the last year while the second largest increase is in dishwashers.​

During the meeting it was stated that seniority indemnity is a serious problem for middle sized companies in terms of worker costs.

Council Member Atilla Eren stated that the growth seen in the sector is also seen in the subsidiaries industry and that training and consultation is also necessary for the subsidiaries industry.

Council Advisor Dilek Temel provided information regarding changes in the Waste Electric and Electronic Goods Control Regulations.
