TOBB Deputy Secretary General Cengiz Delibas evaluated the effects of the negatives in the fields of raw materials, procurement and logistics on the automotive industry by emphasizing the cost increase. Cengiz Eroldu, the Automotive Industry Council President, stated that despite the pandemic, 2021 was high in terms of production and the contribution of the sector to the country continued in this process. Eroldu stated that the most effective negative factor for production is chip shortage “We try to adapt to the chip problem by reducing production volumes and production tempo. I think the chip shortage will continue a little longer.” In addition, he stressed that the increase in raw material prices has a serious impact on the sector. He noted the importance of TOBB's support for the automotive industry.
