Food, Beverage and Retail Sectors discuss European Green Deal process

The fifth meeting of the webinar series “How to Keep Up with the Green Transformation” was held online on September 16, 2021. Speaking at the webinar opening were Food Industry Council President Necdet Buzbaş, Beverage Industry Council Member İpek İşbitiren and Retail Council Member Hülya Günay, discussing the issue from the perspective of their respective sectors.
Horizon Consulting Co-Founder Eser Erginoğlu shared the issues that participants should focus on with his presentation titled “What Carbon Regulation brings at the Border,” how to prepare companies for the European Green Deal, what the cost of compliance investments may be, and how to provide funds for compliance financing.
Berna Bildik, Environmental High Engineer at the Turkish Standards Institute, briefed on the European Green Deal Action Plan and the work carried out by TSE.
The webinar, which discussed the EU and Turkey perspectives of the arrangements under the European Green Deal, ended after the Q&A.
