The meeting was organized with the participation of Günseli Özen, Vice President of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council, Feride Eda Çalıkuşu, TOBB Erzurum Women Entrepreneurs Council President, Arçelik Retail Academy and Beko executives. The meeting was also attended by the presidents of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Councils of Kars, Ağrı, Malatya, Bingöl, Elazığ, Van, Muş and Bitlis.
After the training provided by instructor Fulya Argun to the members of TOBB Erzurum Women Entrepreneurs Council, details were conveyed in a special panel for those who want to become dealers within the scope of Beko 100 Women Dealer project.
Günseli Özen, Vice President of the Women Entrepreneurs Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, started by sending her loving greetings to the participants on behalf of TOBB President Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Nurten Öztürk, Women EntrepreneursCouncil President. “It's a voluntary job, and for all this good work to happen, whatever it takes, you have to want it wholeheartedly. We're here as women. Those before us, our elders, have worked so hard to get us here; we owe them. We have a promise to those after us to go further than where we are. Therefore, it is our first duty to do the most we can where we are today, to create the most opportunities for women. That is what this project is for. I know that you think like me and I believe that we will walk this path together.”
Feride Eda Çalıkuşu, President of Erzurum Women Entrepreneurs Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, started by thanking the participants, “I see women entrepreneurs as today's Tomris Hatuns and Nene Hatuns with their fighting spirit in commercial life. Welcome to the Eastern Anatolia regional launch meeting of the Women Heroes of Entrepreneurship, which is a pillar of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council and Beko 100 Women Dealer project. We also saw in the figures we announced in March that our women entrepreneurs were the group most affected by the difficulties of the pandemic period. In the nature of entrepreneurship, there will be losses as well as gains. For us, every loss, every end is actually an opportunity to create new doors, new employment areas. As we say we are strong together, we will continue our presence stronger with our projects in the coming period as entrepreneurs. We would like to thank our Union President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu for establishing the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council and his faith and support for women entrepreneurs, as well as our TOBB Women's Council President Nurten Öztürk, who is also the founder of OPET, for the beautiful projects and works they’ve undertaken. As TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council, we continued our training, seminars and projects during the pandemic. We continue to carry out concrete projects that will improve the entrepreneurship ecosystem by making the private sector the main agenda item and incorporating it into all our studies. I would also like to express my gratitude to Günseli Özen, Vice President of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council, who is with us in Erzurum today. I would also like to thank them for their efforts in implementing projects that will take concrete steps with high added value. I believe that our project, which we started here today with Beko, will mobilize other brands and that this beautiful project will guide other collaborations. As an entrepreneur on behalf of my region and my hometown, I believe that this project, which has many advantages and opportunities, will benefit entrepreneurial women in the region. I wish this project to offer our women new sector and employment opportunities.”
Beko Sales Director Burak Bilgisel said, “As Beko, we always support and stand by women's participation in the business world. In this way, we aim to support and empower entrepreneurial women, we are happy to have organized in Ankara in the first of the face-to-face trainings that we would love to carry out within the scope of the Women's Heroes of Entrepreneurship Project. The primary goal of this project is to be able to boost their courage in business life with education and to help women get their rightful place in business life in a safe, competitive and equipped way. Since it is integrated with our 100 Women Dealer Project, I would like to share that we will be happy to join us that our door is open to the entrepreneurial women of Central Anatolia who want to become Beko dealers after the trainings.”
