The International Contracting Council reelected Erdal Eren for the new term

The Turkey International Contracting Services Council, which operates within the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), has elected the President and Vice President for the new term. Erdal Eren, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Contractors Association, was elected as Council President.​

The first elective meeting of the Council was held at the Union headquarters in Ankara to elect the Council Presidential under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Hakan Ülken and to consult on current issues of the sector.

In his opening speech, Hakan Ülken explained the purpose of the establishment of sector councils and the principles of work. He stated that sector councils are an effective mechanism working in cooperation with the public, and that Turkey International Contracting Services Council will play a role in the international branding of our country in the field of construction and contracting and to increase its share in the field of contracting service exports.

After the opening speech, the election of the Presidential Council was held. Erdal Eren, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Contractors Association, was unanimously elected as the Council President while Nazmi Durbakayım, President of the Istanbul Builders Association (INDER) was unanimously elected as the Council Vice President.

The International Contracting Services Council set out to determine the roadmap for Turkey's branding process.

Informing the council about the alternatives to regulating price difference in the public about construction cost increases and the need for price difference; the situation in the public procurement law amendment studies and the expectations of the sector; the latest status of foreign contracting services in terms of its contribution to the country's employment as well as foreign currency-generating activity, the importance of coordination with the public on promoting employment abroad; the state of the Turkish housing sector and the expectations of the sector were discussed.
