Number of Industrial Capacity Reports approved in the first 10 months of 2021 increased by 17.1% compared to the same period last year

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in October 2021 increased by 14.8% (588 units) compared to October 2020 to 4,549 units. The number of capacity reports approved in the first 10 months of 2021 increased by 17.1% (6,111 units) compared to the first 10 months of 2020.
The 4,549 capacity report approved in October; 1381 were in Istanbul, 301 in Bursa, 261 in Izmir, 204 in Ankara, 187 in Konya, 156 in Kocaeli, 155 in Gaziantep, 122 in Manisa, 100 in Tekirdağ, 92 in Adana.
The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database increased by 7.6% (5,919 units) to 84,177 units from 78,258 in October 2020. According to the Active Capacity Reports, the total number of employees increased by 244,836 (7.5%) from 3,256,547 in October 2020 to 3,501,383 in October 2021.
Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for: utilization of bench, device, machine and motive force in processing raw materials, semi-and complete products, property, content, composition or shape in full or in part; for businesses that produce a new product in serial or standard, and for those who operate and operate underground resources and produce software with information technology.
